What is Source Mode?
Source Mode is a new experience available to all customers of SECLOCK. It turns SECLOCK.com from a website into a door hardware sourcing app. You can enter Source Mode and exit out of it at any time - it is completely up to the user to choose.
Does it have all the same functionality of SECLOCK.com?
Yes, it has everything in our industry leading website - and a lot more. Once you switch into Source Mode you will see a more app-like experience, with search at the top and navigation to the left. All of the links and functionality will look and feel familiar, just in a more usable space in the browser window. You will also find new features that only exist in Source Mode, such as Pins and Projects.
How do I enter and exit Source Mode?
After you login to SECLOCK.com, click your account button in the top navigation, and choose Source Mode. To exit, click your name (or account) in the top navigation and select Exit Source Mode.
Do I have to keep switching to Source Mode each time I visit?
No, once you enter Source Mode the system will remember your choice until you exit. Most who switch to Source Mode stay there for the premium experience and added features.
Why is SECLOCK releasing Source Mode?
We built Source Mode for door hardware professionals like you, with functionality designed to make your job easier. It's an industry first: a web app for the complexity of the commercial door hardware industry.
What is Dark mode?
Users have the option to switch their screen view to Dark mode, which makes the backgrounds dark and the text white. This helps to reduce the brightness of white screens and ease eye strain. The entire site was built with Dark mode in mind for a streamlined user experience.
Try it out! Click the gear icon in the top right of Source Mode to switch light settings.
What are Pins?
Your list of favorites are now Pins. And you can organize your Pins into Trays. Click the Pin icon in the top right to access all your saved favorites and start working with them. The new Pins sidebar is accessible from any screen in Source Mode and does not take you away from the page you are viewing.
What are Projects?
Organize your list of products into sets and openings - with full door hardware scheduling capabilities. Look for more documentation to follow.
3 Easy Tips for Navigating in Source Mode
1 – Search is at the top center
Just click in the search bar at the top and start typing. HINT: You can press the "S" key from anywhere and search will open automatically.
2 – Navigation is on the left
All of the site navigation links are found on the left. Hover over the icons to see the dropdown lists, or toggle the nav (bottom left arrow) to expand it out.
3 – Settings, cart and account are in the top right
Your cart, account, Pins and options are in the top right - same as always.
